Mustafa Barghouthi

Last Saturday, I had the chance to meet Mustafa Barghouthi… I was so impressed by the man, by the analysis he gave on the current situation in the OPT.
For those who never heard about him before, Mustafa Barghouthi is a Palestinian democracy activist. He was candidate for the presidency of the Palestinian Authority in2005, and Minister for Information and Communication in the now dissolved Unity Government (he’s an independent). Barghouti has criticized many times the PLO and PA for corruption and terrorism.
He supports the Non-Violent Resistance as the most effective way of “combating” Israeli occupation.

Mustafa Barghouthi in London, on the 9 June 2007, the international day of action to mark the 40th anniversary of the Six Day War and Israel's military occupation of Palestine.
