Yep, in the State next door...
one week in DC
My first week in DC is gone... so far, walked probably some 30/40 km, visited about 15 apartments, started new job, spoke with A., will meet L, and much more. Here are some images of these first days.

Un caffé per favore
Firday morning, I wake up (at 6am, décalage horaire oblige...), and I go to the kitchen with the intention of making a nice, strong coffee... I see a very sophisticated Krups machine: "mmmmhh, how does this work?". Since I was afraid of putting the water & the coffee on the wrong part of the machine, I decided to go & look for an italian essential item... and I found it:

Welcome back to the US!
"Welcome back to the US": that's what the passport officer told me when I arrived at Washington Dulles airport.
I made it... after several months it finally came true. I have to admit that my first thought when I got her was: did I take the right decision??? I am still not sure about that. The fact of traveling alone probably didn't help. I terribly miss my daughter and her dad.
After the airport I made my way to O's place: very central, in a "bo-bo" part of the city. You gotta to love it/him (the place & the friend!)!
